A board-certified urologist based in Arizona, Dr. Jeffrey A. Stern has earned an international reputation as a leader in the field of minimally invasive urologic surgery. He is an international speaker on the subject, presenting at conferences throughout the United States and in Europe. Most recently, Dr. Stern was invited to lecture at Kyoto University in Japan. As a visiting professor, he presented on the da Vinci robotic prostatectomy procedure – an advanced minimally invasive treatment option for prostate cancer. The robotic prostatectomy is the most advanced treatment for prostate cancer.

After attending preparatory school at the prestigious Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, Dr. Stern completed college and medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. His urologic residency was completed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. It was here that Dr. Stern worked with leaders in the nerve-sparing technique of radical prostatectomy. Dr. Stern went on to complete a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona where he was involved in hundreds of laparoscopic procedures and applied his expertise in the potency-preserving technique of robotic surgery.

Dr. Stern’s expertise is in minimally invasive surgery for vasectomy, vasovasostomy, and vasoepididymostomy, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder prolapse. Through extensive experience with successful outcomes, Dr. Stern is proficient in robotic surgery and minimally invasive surgery for bladder prolapse and urinary incontinence, vasectomy reversal, the interstim treatment for urinary urgency and incontinence, and the GreenLight laser treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Dr. Stern’s continued interest in cutting-edge technology brings the latest treatment options to his patients in Arizona.
